Booking a show at Reservoir
The Reservoir is first and foremost a bar.
That said, we do have approximately 4-6 shows a month.
The setup is very basic: a vocal pa and no stage.
All shows are free and 21+ and are usually well attended and very fun. The usual crowd is into music and tend to be pretty generous with donations for a band that is good/good people.
This means that bands are paid from donations, generally not the kind of show you can make much money on.
Because the shows are free, we are unable to do any shows without a local band, so if you know anyone here, that helps, otherwise we will try to find one. Chapel Hill/Carrboro is a small town, so it may be impossible to find one (i.e., you should pursue other options until we are able to confirm).
With few exceptions shows are weeknights only, we don't want to try to compete with other local venues. Generally, we try to offer a touring band a fun, well attended show on a night that would otherwise be spent playing to nobody.
